Description

This trail offers an easy hike to start, but increases in difficulty as you continue on. The view of mirror lake is worth the hike. Snowshoes are needed in the winter months and the trail seems to be fairly heavily uses, so don't expect a solitaire hike unless you are hiking at dawn on a weekday.

Directions

From Portland, take Hwy 26 E toward Mt Hood. The trailhead is about 7 miles on the right after you pass through the town of Rhododendron.

Hiked a small part of it but it was late in the day and we were losing light fast. There were a good deal of people leaving the area and several stream crossings that included small foot bridges. I definitely plan to return soon to hike the full trail and witness Mirror Lake in person.
